This Technology and Sigma Systems have announced at the Cable Show a turnkey cross-platform solution that enables operators to manage content, inventory and subscriber information across advertising platforms.

Called "XIS," the solution is a bundle of backplane services defined by the SCTE 130 standard for advanced advertising that works with any front-end system also defined by the standard. Specifically, XIS consists of a Content Information Service (CIS) and Placement Opportunity Information Service (POIS) provided by This Technology, and a Subscriber Information Service (SIS) from Sigma Systems that connects into any Ad Management Service (ADM) or Ad Decision Service (ADS) to enable a turnkey, open standards approach to managing content, inventory, and subscriber information for advanced advertising in linear, interactive, dynamic, and IPTV environments.

"XIS is a platform-agnostic solution from This Technology and Sigma Systems for enabling cost-effective management and control of addressable advertising on an operator’s platform," said Preston Gilmer, VP of marketing for Sigma Systems, in a statement.
