Michael Horwitz has moved from Comcast to become vice president of engineering at thePlatform. He will lead thePlatform’s core product development, testing and deployment, and oversee the company’s operational business intelligence, including capacity planning and metrics monitoring. He will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Seattle.

Horwitz comes to thePlatform after spending more than five years in senior-level engineering positions at Comcast, building technology teams from the ground-up, managing backend data system development, and executing on the company’s online and next-generation product lines. Most recently, Horwitz served as senior director/Engineering for Comcast Converged Products. Before that, he was senior manager/Engineering and principal engineer, both for Comcast Interactive Media. He will report to Ian Blaine, CEO of thePlatform.
