The Aspen Institute: Surprise, surprise. Another soon-to-be former FCC chairman is being welcomed into the fold. Current but outgoing FCC head Julius Genachowski will become senior fellow at the Aspen Institute Communications and Society Program as soon as he leaves his Washington, D.C., digs sometime in the near future, tasked with advising on the Institute’s communications policy programs. The Institute notes Genachowski will be the fifth ex-chair (two previous Democrats, two Republicans) to join the group.
 
Perseus Telecom: Lorenz Voss has been hired by the company as executive vice president/Global Procurement and Strategy. Voss had been head of Global Strategic Sourcing at Trading Technologies, an international-trading software developer. In his new role at the provider of ultra-low-latency, high-capacity global networks, Voss will lead the company’s global expansion efforts.
