Telefonica O2 Germany and Telenor Sweden have deployed Acme Packet Net-Net 4000 series session border controllers (SBCs), according to Acme.

For Telefonica, the SBCs provide IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) functionality at its access and interconnect borders. The devices enable support for residential retail and wholesale VoIP services and IP interconnects with other service providers. Telenor also is using the SBCs to support access and interconnect borders, as well as IMS-based multimedia services for business customers. (For more on IMS, click here).
