The Academy Award-winning doc is the 1st title Hallmark is running from the 39-movie agreement it has with Warner Bros. The channel is close to signing a deal with an undisclosed advertiser for exclusive sponsorship of the premiere. No other dates have been confirmed for the reportedly $30mln package, which includes the network TV premiere of "Troy" (Brad Pitt). Last night’s Hallmark TCA party was to include, among others, several penguins and former partridge Shirley Jones. — Discovery Channel announced "Everest," chronicling a group of climbers that attempted to summit the world’s tallest peak in May (premieres Nov 14, 10pm) and "Surviving Katrina," a 2-hour doc including exclusive home video and personal interviews (Aug 27, 9pm).
