After more than 20 years of running the TCA Tour, NCTA decided to let CTAM manage it. The move makes sense, since CTAM has experience in running these types of events, and Char Beales was responsible for launching the cable portion in the ’80s. For the record, NCTA says it is making the change to focus on its lobbying efforts. Source tell us that this was offered to CTAM after NCTA took control of the "Only Cable Can" natl marketing campaign earlier this year.
