As faith and values-conscious consumers increase their demand for programming that is safe for kids and friendly to families, cable and digital providers have increasingly looked to faith-based and Christian networks to fill that unique need. And no network has been more proactive at meeting the demand for family-friendly programming than Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest religious network.

Beginning in 1973 as a single UHF station in Southern California, today TBN reaches every major continent via 54 satellites and more than 12,000 television and cable affiliates worldwide. Most importantly for cable operators committed to maximizing channel options for viewers, TBN offers five distinct networks that each broadcasts quality family-friendly programming 24 hours per day.

“For over 30 years TBN has been providing quality exclusive programming that appeals to every member of the family,” says Bob Higley, TBN’s VP of cable and satellite relations. “In fact, our five networks make TBN the cable industry’s only faith-friendly network that effectively reaches every age demographic.”

Those networks are:

TBN Flagship Network – America’s most-watched faith-based channel, TBN is available in more than 90% of America’s homes and has set the standard for religious and faith-friendly programming. Its 24-hour broadcast format includes not only the most popular religious programs available, but a full lineup of music, variety, talk and exclusive movies and special features.

JCTV – A fully digital network geared for teens and young adults, JCTV features round-the-clock cutting-edge Christian music videos, reality and game shows, relevant talk programs, comedy, extreme sports and much more.

The Church Channel – The only network featuring America’s most popular church services from a wide variety of Protestant and Catholic congregations, The Church Channel broadcasts 24 hours a day.

TBN Enlace USA – America’s premier Spanish-language faith network, TBN Enlace offers viewers the best inspirational programs from Latin America and the most popular programs from TBN all in Spanish, 24 hours a day.

Smile of a Child TV – TBN’s latest network addition, Smile of a Child TV features 24-hour faith-based programming that parents can trust for their children.

TBN also recently upgraded its flagship studios in California with the latest high-definition production technology. “Cable providers across the country are now asking for programming that is shot in HD format,” explains Paul Crouch Jr., founder and president of TBN. “This transition means TBN is now technically on the cutting edge of television production.”

Notes Higley: “We have put a high priority on creativity and cutting edge technology—a strategy we think will keep TBN at the forefront of family-friendly television for a long time to come.”
