Its top scoring vendors for implementation include Cisco, Ruckus Wireless and Alcatel-Lucent…According to an Openet survey, even though operators are LTE-network ready, they still aren’t prepared to provide LTE subscriber billing. Other stats: 90 percent of operator respondents said they need real-time mobile data billing, but only 20 percent currently have that capability; 81 percent say current, non-LTE-ready billing systems are delaying product launches; 78 percent want new billing systems to prevent bill shock; and 69 percent want to upgrade to support shared data packages.
