Sunrise Telecom announced the addition of 43G differential phase shift keying (DPSK) modulation to the STT 40G.

The addition allows field network equipment manufacturer and communications service providers teams to install and verify long haul network equipment.

“With the explosive growth in mobile video, the network core must be upgraded to 40G and 43G,” Bahaa Moukadam, Sunrise Telecom CEO said in a statement.

Moukadam added that new modulation schemes, such as DPSK, enables operators to deploy 40G using the existing long haul infrastructure.

The STT 40G can test the integration of Optical Transport Network (OTN) and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer (DWDM). The 43G DPSK tunable transmitter in the test set allows the user to verify each channel of the C-band DWDM network, ensuring reliable, error-free service.
