NCTA designated next week (June 1-5) cable’s 1st ‘Signal Theft Awareness Week’ (CableWORLD, 4/5). It’s the 1st national campaign and marks another step in cable’s efforts to create a unified voice (i.e., CTAM’s "Only Cable Can" and CableLabs’ Go2Broadband). The initiative focuses primarily on passive theft and includes a PSA showing a family moving into a new home and discovering cable was accidentally left connected.
