Gibbons’ unique aesthetic has taken the marketing and promotion of FX’s original series to new heights, winning more than 150 Promax and Broadcast Design Association awards. Marketing of programming that features LGBT characters such as “Nip/Tuck” has led to the network’s recent recognition by GLAAD as one of the most gay-friendly/responsible television networks. And she continues to innovate with FX’s new wave of content. “From my perspective it’s a myth,” Gibbons says of the work-life balance. “Balance is something you are always working toward, but in the meantime you ride the pendulum.”

What’s your favorite part of your job? 
Yikes. Too many things to count. But spending the majority of your time with passionate artists and brilliant content trumps anything else I’ve tried except food, water, and shelter.
 
How do you define success in the workplace?  
Does your involvement better the work? Does it inspire and motivate the teams? Do you actively contribute to helping your company achieve its goals? If so, you are successful. And most likely, pretty damn happy to come to work each day.  But, if you are reading this at 1 p.m. in your Cheetos-stained bathrobe, you may be underperforming.
 
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
Are you kidding me?! From my perspective it’s a myth. Balance is something you are always working toward, but in the meantime you ride the pendulum.
 
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?  

I’ve always wanted to shadow an NFL coach and team through the playoffs. It would be a front row seat to the alchemic process of transitioning talented individuals into a soldered group capable of taking destiny by the throat.
