Gibbons’ unique aesthetic has taken the marketing and promotion of FX’s original series to new heights, winning more than 150 Promax and Broadcast Design Association awards. Marketing of programming that features LGBT characters such as “Nip/Tuck” has led to the network’s recent recognition by GLAAD as one of the most gay-friendly/responsible television networks. And she continues to innovate with FX’s new wave of content. “From my perspective it’s a myth,” Gibbons says of the work-life balance. “Balance is something you are always working toward, but in the meantime you ride the pendulum.”
