Best Advice in 7 Words or Less: Life is short—make every day count.

Why Him? Motorola is in the throes of one of the most evolutionary, read: frenetic, periods in the company’s history. Fortunately Moloney has an iron constitution. Moloney, of course, is wooing operators evolving to IP-based technology with gusto, making the coming year one to watch as the maze of applications, bandwidth, rights management, content management and cloud technology unfolds.

Patent-Mania: Under Moloney’s leadership, MMI has built an intellectual property portfolio including 1,900 patents focusing on multimedia, home gateways, content mobility and security.

Year Ahead: Moloney is on a roll. We’re expecting at least one big operator deal.
