The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau decided to push the interim construction deadline to Dec. 13 for all active Lower 700 MHz band B Block licensees that now are operating under deadlines mandated earlier (WT Docket 12-332). Section 27.14(g) of the commish’s rules requires cellular market area (CMA) licensees in Block B in the 704 MHz-710 MHz and 734 MHz-740 MHz bands to provide signal coverage and to offer service to at least 35 percent of their geographic areas by June 13.
