Blockbuster On Demand’s movie downloads will be embedded on T-Mobile’s upcoming HTC HD2 smartphone in the United States.

Blockbuster and T-Mobile USA have announced that consumers can download and watch on-demand movies with this first offering from Blockbuster on the new HTC HD2.

Available at launch, customers will be able to buy or rent movies digitally, and download them to their smartphone via Wi-Fi without the use of a computer. Following launch, the application is planned to let customers access actual store inventory.

The HTC HD2 – with its 4.3-inch, multi-touch display – is expected to be available exclusively from T-Mobile in the United States this spring.
