Under Salata’s leadership, OWN became cash flow positive earlier than anticipated. Ratings are up 30% to date over 2012, making it a top-20 ad supported cable network for women 25-54. At Harpo, she oversees more than 130 hours of original programs for OWN. How do you define success in the workplace?
I always feel good when I can sense that we all have had a hand in defining and executing the vision. Everyone makes their own unique contribution — everyone rises up.
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
For me, balance is a verb — always moving, frequently tweaking, ever evolving.
