Time Warner and Comcast want DirecTV to pay $35mln to carry 1 season of their Mets RSN, DirecTV evp Dan Fawcett told Sen Commerce. That would put the license fee for the net north of $2.20/sub. (Word on the street is that the net is going for closer to $1.75/sub.) Here’s the really interesting part: we hear Time Warner’s Fred Dressler is negotiating on the network’s behalf. (Must be funny to see Dressler on the other side of the table for a change…) For the record, Cablevision doesn’t have a deal either.
