Service Electric Cable TV, the first community cable provider established in the United States, is using Volicon‘s Observer RPM multichannel monitoring system. The Observer RPM system scans the cable operator’s analog and digital (SD and HD) map throughout the day and night and, after a preset time of outage, alerts NOC staff to any problems with video or audio. The Observer RPM scans channels unattended to verify the presence of video and audio and to detect problems such as frozen video, black video, loss of video signal, and low-level audio. Charter Posts First Video Gains Since 2020

Charter’s streak of video declines came to a halt Friday when the company announced 44,000 total video net additions in 4Q25. And while it might not be a trend Charter sees as holding true in the long term, for now, it can celebrate a feat it hasn’t been able to say in 21 quarters.
