Service Electric Cablevision has deployed Harmonic‘s Narrowcast Services Gateway (NSG) edge QAM with privacy mode encryption for its VOD service in Pennsylvania. Service Electric, the first cable operator in the United States, founded in 1948, offers video, voice and data triple play services to nearly 85,000 subscribers in the northeastern part of the nation.
