The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation reports its Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet will hold a hearing April 9 to examine the state of rural communications and the challenges facing companies serving rural consumers. Witnesses include Boycom Cablevision President/CEO Patricia Jo Boyers, CenturyLink Executive Vice President Steven Davis, Ritter Communications Vice President/External Affairs John Strode, and Telephone and Data Systems President/CEO Leroy Carlson. The hearing will be Webcast live on the Senate Commerce Committee’s Web site, starting at 10:30 a.m.
