SeaChange International is highlighting a range of multi-screen video solutions for Europe’s cable TV operators starting today at the ANGA Cable Show, including a new tablet-based TV experience and an application that brings social media to on-demand video. Innovations on display this week are driven by the company’s global software organization, including eventIS, which is now fully integrated into the worldwide SeaChange brand. SeaChange acquired eventIS in September 2009.

Feature software demonstrations powered by the SeaChange Adrenalin multi-screen back office include:

  • Social media capabilities integrated with on-demand services running on Apple iPad, including content recommendation (browsing, sharing, liking and commenting within the app as well as on Facebook and Twitter); and sharing a common VOD experience as part of a “virtual party,” whereby users can organize a watching party among friends and communicate, share comments and invite others.
  • Comprehensive content offer management capabilities of the Web-based SeaChange Business Management Suite, empowering a video service operator’s marketing organization to manage offers and catalogs to maximize subscriber use of content libraries.
  • Hybrid broadcast broadband TV (HbbTV) capabilities that allow operators to integrate HbbTV service signaling for linking towards multi-screen VOD services or web portals. The platform can help operators add advanced HbbTV services to their existing offerings, such as interactive applications and electronic program guide (EPG) information.

Adrenalin is an open and modular multi-screen solution using an open service oriented architecture (SOA) to deliver a consistent video experience that avails millions of video assets to millions of devices across multiple networks. Operators are using Adrenalin to establish or incrementally transform their on-demand services to provide user experiences across mobile, tablet, PC and TV screens with extensive cross-promotional capabilities and fully integrated linear and non-linear advertising.

SeaChange is exhibiting at ANGA Cable, May 3-5, in Cologne, Germany.
