The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) will offer a series of technical Webinars to Canadian cable engineering professionals. All Webinars are scheduled for 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Topics include:

  • May 7 – NexGen Access and Evolution, sponsored by Huawei.
  • May 21 – Solutions for HD Local Hospitality & EPG Channel Creation and Insertion, sponsored by ATX
  •  June 4 – How EPON Can Maximize Your Business Services ROI, sponsored by Fujitsu.
  • June 18 – Making Any Screen Your Main Screen Reality, sponsored by ARRIS.

NCTA CEO Eyes Spring Policy Summit

Cory Gardner is the first NCTA President/CEO to take the helm of the association without the Cable Show (also referred to as INTX: The Internet & Television Expo or the National Show) as a platform for the industry’s agenda. NCTA shuttered the 65-year-old convention in 2016. While it’s not coming back, Gardner does think there’s room for some industry show-and-tell.
