The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has announced that registration is under way for its new online Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) course on network security, set to start in September.

The CCNA Security course will introduce the core security concepts and skills needed to install, troubleshoot, and monitor a network to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and devices.

The e-learning course will place emphasis on practical experience to help students develop specialized security skills along with critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills. Students will develop an in-depth, theoretical understanding of network security principles as well as the tools and configurations available.
