Comcast and Cisco successfully completed a 100 Gigabit Ethernet test over existing backbone infrastructure between Philly and McLean, VA, using a 100GE router interface developed for the Cisco CRS-1 routing system. This type of tech allows companies to increase bandwidth per wavelength by a factor of 10 over the initial deployed capability. — Rogers Cable has selected Cisco’s Switched Digital Video system for its Ontario customers.
