SCTE, ANGA Ink Joint Marketing/Info Exchange Pact
The U.S.-based Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and the Cologne, Germany-based ANGA Cable Show (a subsidiary of ANGA Association of German Cable Operators) signed a cooperation agreement to “mutually promote, enhance and support their respective congress and exhibition events, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and the ANGA Cable Show.”? ?
In the future, both shows will act as “International Cable Show Partners” to meet the needs of the global cable industry, and to coordinate and leverage their individual activities.
Part of the cooperation deal has the two groups identifying mutual relevant topics and targeting new technologies on both sides of the ocean. Another central element has the groups providing moderators and speakers for their respective technical conference sessions. ?
Daniel Howard, senior vice president/Engineering and CTO at SCTE, commented, “The need for the technical expertise and relationships that SCTE in the United States and ANGA in Europe provide transcends geographic boundaries. We believe that this agreement will benefit the industry worldwide by creating new opportunities for the sharing of technical expertise, innovative approaches, industry best practices and standards development.” ?
Added Dr. Peter Chariss, managing director of the ANGA Cable Show, “The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo with its high technical expertise is the perfect transatlantic partner for our European ANGA Cable Show. We highly appreciate the exchange of know how, topics and speakers, as this will surely provide some interesting insights into the goings-on in cable business across the pond and make our congress agenda even more international than ever.” ?
