Sims has promoted multi-ethnic diversity by encouraging law firms with whom she works to use multi-ethnic teams. Her steadfast commitment earned her a Chambers USA Women in Law award in Gender Diversity & Equality this year. A standing member on the board at NAMIC, Sims has advanced their ideas within Discovery by informally mentoring junior, multi-ethnic attorneys throughout Discovery’s legal and business and legal affairs department, as well as young lawyers in the cable industry. “Diversity is the byproduct of inclusion that leads to richer thinking, invites more creative solutions, and results in greater productivity,” Sims says.
