The consumer press is taking note of Project Canoe, the ongoing effort by cable companies to create a joint company that would enable ad buys across all systems. New news from Mon’s NY Times piece includes that headhunting firm Spencer Stuart has been tapped to lead the effort and that ops will invest $150mln in the initiative. Key element of Canoe include dynamic VOD advertising, addressable linear ads and regional customization.
