RGB Networks has added a new member to its Broadcast Network Processor (BNP) product line with the introduction of the BNP3xr.

Built on the same video processing technology as RGB’s field-proven BNP2xr and the BNPxr, the BNP3xr offers customers new redundancy features, as well as support for international broadcast encryption standards.

The BNP3xr utilizes a new, two rack-unit high chassis design that enables it to offer new features, including dual hot-swappable, redundant power supplies and fan modules to ensure uninterrupted operation in the unlikely event a failure should occur.

The BNP3xr also offers support for DVB conditional access SimulCrypt encryption, which is particularly relevant in international markets.
