Pa.-based MegaPhase has developed a new tool for engineers who design and build RF/Microwave systems and components. Testing engineers can now download the iOS app for iPhone (which also runs on the Apple iTouch and iPad) from the iTunes Store to simplify daily calculations and estimates.

"The MegaPhase app is an essential utility for test engineers when specifying RF coaxial cables and connectors," reports William Pote III, MegaPhase’s founder and CEO. The MegaPhase app allows engineers wherever they are to quickly design, specify, and obtain quotes. "Engineers are no longer tethered to their desks to get the information they need," he notes. "Now they can do their calculations and work more efficiently in the lab, the field or anywhere their work takes them."

Engineers can use the app to:

>> Build cable designs,
>> Browse cable options,
>> Receive assistance when specifying cables,
>> Access product descriptions and
>> Examine complete product datasheets.

The MegaPhase app also provides engineering tools and converters, including:

>> A RL/VSWR Converter,
>> A dB per pound Converter,
>> A dBm to watts converter and
>> Flashlight.

Custom cables can be built and emailed instantly for quick quotes.

As a bonus, MegaPhase is offering a 10-percent discount for first orders of any T&M cables generated from the MegaPhase app that use the offer code "NEWAPP."
