BERTS Market Ratchets To $657M By 2018
Frost & Sullivan says advances in such key technologies as SONET/SDH and Ethernet over SONET (EoS) as well as the deployment of 40- and 100-gigabit networks are expected to boost the demand for bit error rate testers (BERTs) globally. In particular, the market will benefit from the communication and IT industries’ increasing adoption of HDMI and digital audio. The group’s analysis of the BERTS market says revenues of $406.1 million were reported in 2011, reaching $657.1 million in 2018. Overall, F&S adds, vendors that offer competitive prices, features and modularity are best poised to make the most of BERTS opportunities.
