A Pike and Fisher report predicts that cable operators will have DOCSIS 3.0 deployed to 99 percent of homes passed by 2013. About 15 million of the 120 million homes served with cable had DOCSIS 3.0 functionality at the end of 2008, a number that is expected to jump to 53 million this year and 119 million by 2013.
