Research and Markets’ report "Global Cable Subscriber and Revenue Forecast, 2009 – 2012" predicts that global cable subscriber numbers will rise to 111.3 million in 2012, with cable revenues reaching $49.3 billion.

According to the report, global cable subscriber growth was 7.1 percent in 2008, with strong growth in Eastern Europe (+19.5 percent) and Latin America (+16.5 percent).
