A new coalition called TV Watch wants Big Brother to hand over the remote; it promotes using parental controls, as championed by the "Cable Puts You in Control" initiative. It counts NBC-U, Viacom, News Corp and American Conservative Union as members. "The debate has been dominated by advocates of increased government control," says Jim Dyke, exec dir of TV Watch. "[We] speak for most Americans who … want to protect their favorite shows from censorship."
