Remember that tease last week from Rob Marcus about a new partner for the TWC TV app? Sorry, Apple TV fans—it’s Kindle. Time Warner Cable’s service for watching TV at home or on-the-go is now available on the Kindle Fire HD and HDX. The MSO also announced updates to the app for Roku, Samsung Smart TVs and Xbox 360.

“In what will no doubt become the ultimate example of ‘Read the Book, Watch the Movie,’ … Time Warner Cable subscribers can now read—and then watch—‘The Walking Dead’ on the very same device, revisiting their favorite novels before catching their adaptations on late-night TV,” TWC said of the Kindle deal.

The MSO put together a blog post of books that readers can then immediately find the movie/TV companion to on the app. They include “The Mortal Instruments,” “World War Z,” “The Great Gatsby” and “Cloud Atlas.”

All told, TWC customers can enjoy the 5K On Demand options and 300 live television channels on any TWC TV device.
