— Israel’s Ethernity Networks Ltd, a supplier of System on Chip (SoC) multiservice fabric-flow processors for carrier-grade Ethernet appliances, today unveiled its 10 Gbps Carrier Ethernet Virtual Fiber wireless backbone solution, but the product will make its formal debut next week at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona. The offering can aggregate multiple microwave (like Wi-Fi ) links to form a 10 Gbps virtual link, where each link is directed in a way that will prevent interference between adjacent wireless links. It runs packets or a single IP stream over multiple microwave links with the ability to transmit those packets over standard switches, and to construct the data to a single stream using frame reordering and jitter buffer technologies.
