Wi2Wi Inc., a developer of wireless Systems-in-Package (SIP), modules and subsystems for embedded apps, has added more than 140 new design activities for its third generation Industrial-Class products comprised of Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi Bluetooth and GPS. Wi2Wi’s core Industrial-Class Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi-Bluetooth products are the new W2CBW0015 and W2CBW0016 ultra-small SiPs, featuring 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth-3.0. Wi2Wi’s main Industrial-Class GPS products are the W2SG0008i and W2SG0084i ultra-small modules.

Hughes Network Systems LLC says it shipped more than 487,000 broadband satellite terminals in 2012, bringing its cumulative global ship numbers to more than 3.3 million. Its North American consumer high-speed satellite Internet service has been pushing the company’s growth since the launch of HughesNet Gen4 service in October 2012, powered by the EchoStar XVII Ka-band satellite with JUPITER high-throughput technology; more than 200,000 HT terminals shipped in 4Q12.
