The annual media and tech summit hosted by investment banker Herbert Allen commenced Wed in Sun Valley, ID, luring an impressive group of heavyweights including Rupert Murdoch (who 1 scribe said arrived looking "fit and confident"), Bill Gates and Warren Buffett. Also in attendance at the 5-day conference are CBS CEO Les Moonves, Time Warner CEO Dick Parsons, Viacom CEO Sumner Redstone and Disney CEO Robert Iger—a group that would seem to relegate even heavy hitters like Discovery Comm CEO David Zaslav, Michael Eisner and Facebook COO Owen Van Natta to the ‘B’ list. Oh, how we would love to get inside the private retreat, where the bigwigs talk shop, hit the links (to presumably talk more shop) and hang with their families.
