ANGA Cable Show, May 4-6 in Cologne, Germany, will feature 390 exhibitors from 30 countries. Brian Sullivan, CEO Sky Deutschland, will give the opening keynote entitled “Cable, Satellite and IPTV: Competing Digital Platforms.”

The highlight of the second day will be the international Broadband Summit with the headline “Cable, Fibre and LTE – Who will win the Broadband Battle?" The keynote will be given by Manuel Kohnstamm, president of the European cable association Cable Europe.

Strategy panels will focus on the latest product and sales issues for the broadband industry, as well as on current regulatory aspects. This includes the topics HDTV, 3D TV, video on demand, hybrid devices, broadband politics, analog switch off, copyright and licensing law for digital TV and IPTV, plus the role of the housing industry for the cable business.

Agenda topics of the technology panels will include digital headends, EuroDOCSIS 3.0, HDTV, the migration from HFC to next generation fiber, FTTH, video over DOCSIS and triple play services.
