3 DC-area House members asked the FCC Wed to force Comcast to play ball with MASN in settling a dispute surrounding the airing of Washington Nationals baseball games. Reps Tom Davis (R-VA, Govt Reform Cmte Chmn), James Moran (D-VA) and Albert Wynn (D-MD) proposed a nixing of the MSO’s and Time Warner Cable’s proposed merger with Adelphia if it fails to enter binding arbitration with the regional sports net. MASN chief and Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos and Comcast have been kicking dirt on one another for months (Cfax, 3/9), struggling to reach a carriage deal. 1.3mln Washingtonians still cannot access coverage of most Nationals games.
