Three new members have been elected to The Cable Center’s board: Paul Cronin, senior vice president/Customer Experience, Cox Communications; Inc.; Phil McKinney, president/CEO, CableLabs; and Kyle McSlarrow, regional vice president/Mountain Region, Comcast Cable. All will serve three-year terms. In addition, the Board approved a realignment of The Center’s mission and focus in light of an evolving cable industry. The Center will concentrate its resources towards recognizing individuals who make significant contributions to our industry and to the world at large; serving the industry and the public as the leading educational resource for cable-related information; and generating broader awareness of cable’s story of continuous innovation, entrepreneurship and impact on society…Chance Mason is the new executive vice president/Internet Media Division at IP video-streaming company Haivision.
