McGrath recently stood before the House to testify on analog-to-digital converters during the DTV transition, estimating that such a box would cost about $67 in ’07. — Discovery chmn John Hendricks resigned from TiVo’s board last week as part of his decision to step back from daily business and board activities, according to an SEC filing. Hendricks, who relinquished his CEO title in June, intends to continue to act as an informal adviser to TiVo. — G4TechTV svp programming/production Vinnie Longobardo is leaving to start his own production and consulting company. The video/tech net is on board as his 1st client. — Former Viacom Cable pres/CEO John Goddard has joined Cedar Point’s board. — Charter upped Pragash Pillai to vp, advanced engineering. — MTV vet Carol Eng was named svp, programming and development for MTV2. — Dan Martinsen was elevated to evp, corp comm for Nick, Nick at Nite, TV Land and Spike TV.
