"Due to the recently announced changes in Viacom’s management structure, the time was right for me to step aside," he said. — Former Animal Planet vp/gm Mike Cascio surfaced as vice chmn of the board for Stand Up Comedy TV, which plans to launch in Jan. — Former Discovery exec Gene Edelman signed as vp, affil sales and marketing, Gospel Music Channel.
