The long-anticipated Rainbow Media PR reorg is official: Ellen Kroner becomes svp, corporate comm and marketing, replacing Jim Weiss, who’ll continue as a consultant. All PR dept heads at Rainbow will report to Kroner; she’ll report to pres/CEO Josh Sapan. — MSG Nets named NY Rangers svp of marketing & business ops Michael Bair pres, effective Feb 1. Outgoing pres Mike McCarthy will remain a consultant. — Comcast hired labor lawyer Charisse Lillie as vp, HR, Comcast Corp and svp, HR, Comcast Cable. She starts mid-Feb, replacing Al Peddrick, who’s retiring. — After 27 years with Susquehanna Media and its parent, Peter Brubaker is retiring as pres/CEO Feb 11. Susquehanna Radio pres David Kennedy will replace Brubaker. — WWE’s Philip Livingston will step down as CFO and board member. Svp, finance Frank Serpe will be acting CFO while WWE seeks a replacement. — Outdoor Channel opened its NY ad sales office, naming Glenn Dolce dir. — C-SPAN reorged its marketing team. Marty Dominguez was upped to vp, marketing. Faxie winner Peter Kiley was promoted to vp, aff rel, and Joanne Wheeler was named vp, education relations. — Eric Thorkilsen joins Scripps Nets as svp, business development Jan 17. — A&E Nets heralded the creation of 3 ad sales teams, hiring Peter Olsen as svp of ad sales for the flagship net and Biography Channel and shifting vp of ad sales Brian Granath to direct sales for History Channel, History Intl and History Channel en Espanol. Meanwhile, as vp of sales strategy & dev, Robert Edney will spearhead initiatives involving interactive media, online sales and VOD across all nets. Michael Peretz is now vp of AETN’s integrated ad sales & strategic partnerships group.
