Partners Release Narrowcast Turnkey Internet TV Solution

After offering its HD video-streaming platform to broadcasters for the past two years, Zixi llc is teaming with Israel’s PeerTV ltd to provide a turnkey, end-to-end solution to narrowcasters seeking to deliver live TV channels and VOD services via the Internet, thus broadening the competitive playing field for content and eyeballs.

By combining Zixi’s and PeerTV’s platforms, content distributors reportedly will be able to deliver HD-quality live video that starts instantly and has no latency, packet loss, jitter or frame freeze. The combined solution will be offered as a Web-based service solution that will allow OTT content providers to start paid subscription services with minimal startup costs will facilitating the delivery of fully personalized TV.

Zixi’s platform provides a scalable live and VOD video global delivery system featuring Dynamic Adaptive Bitrate supporting full HD (1080p) resolution. PeerTV’s Internet-based middleware contains content- and subscriber-management systems, a configurable UI, EPG and other features necessary for streaming video over the Internet.
