Pace Networks has launched new capabilities for its MDC1000 platform that will allow operators in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America to leverage existing networks and deliver a complete digital experience to a larger share of their subscriber base. The MDC1000 enables operators in emerging markets to deploy advanced digital services such as high definition TV, IPTV and VOD.

Andrew Ward, General Manager of Pace Networks said: "This latest offering is set to be the cornerstone of our portfolio that includes delivery of digital content into and around the home. Our network technologies are helping operators all over the world bring advanced services into the home and we expect the Pace MDC 1000 to dramatically improve operator subscriber numbers and ultimately market share.”

With comprehensive input and output compatibility, the MDC 1000 is a practical solution that enables operators to extend their reach and provide a complete digital service which offers all the benefits of convergence, without disrupting the existing network infrastructure. The platform now features multi-source processing in its cable head-end solution, allowing subscribers to receive a more extensive range of services, including IP content, via their existing receiver equipment.
