Winner
Comcast Cable – Network Scout Flux
With more than 600K route miles of coax throughout Comcast’s nationwide footprint, wind storms, squirrel/rodent teeth and even errant bullets can cause unforeseen signal degradation and outages. Finding those damaged parts isn’t easy. Enter Network Scout Flux, which pinpoints the precise location of signal impairments and fixes network problems before they impact customers. As a result, care center call volumes go down. Some 20K Comcast technicians across the U.S. now use the tool to locate and correct plant problems before they occur. Comcast reports that before Scout repeat trouble calls resulted in the need to roll a truck 40% of the time. With Scout, repeat trouble calls shrunk to 25%, and were resolved within 24 hours. It’s a game changer.
