Redmond confirmed that effective today, Lynne Elander is stepping down from her position as gm of marketing at Microsoft TV for "personal reasons." The former Cox exec relayed her decision in an email to staffers. Elander said she has no other position lined up, adding that her time off will serve as something of a sabbatical. Microsoft TV corporate vp Moshe Lichtman said that the search is on for a replacement for the cable vet, who was the point person when it came down to reaching out to ops. Last year, Elander took home the NCTA’s "Vanguard Award" for young leadership, following up on her CTAM "TAMI" win in 2000.
