Cablevision Systems’ Optimum Business unit launched an online portal to help its value-added resellers (VARs) and other integrators with sales processing and customer management.

The portal, designed for the Optimum Business Partner Program, enables partners to generate letters of authorization, place orders, schedule implementations and track information.

“Optimum Business is committed to its value-added resellers’ success, valuing the technical knowledge, expertise and relationships they have with customers throughout the New York Metropolitan area,” Joseph Varello, Cablevision’s VP of small and medium business services, said in a statement. “We have created the portal to ensure that our resellers have the tools, technology and extensive support needed to stay competitive in the market.”

Optimum Business held its first annual Business Summit last Month, drawing more than 150 attendees, according to Cablevision. At the event, the unit announced the availability of session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking. (For announcement, click here; for more on SIP trunking, click here
