NCTA announced a community service initiative to assist the New Orleans area in recovering from Hurricane Katrina’s devastation. With aid from the city, Cox New Orleans and local orgs, the cable industry will focus during The Cable Show ’08 (May 18-20) on the following: area playground and library reconstruction; school refurbishment; "Battle of the Bands" and bike tour fundraisers; and The Sportsman Channel’s "Hunt.Fish.Feed" hunger-fighting initiative.
