Nice work by The Sportsman Channel and a slew of volunteers who served dinner Sun night at DC’s Union Mission. Kudos too to TSC’s resident chef (and dir of affiliate relations, Midwest) Mick Mantie for chipping in at the 11th hour to cook more than 200 venison meatballs. Venison was donated by local hunters and brought to the Mission by the Safari Club International’s Sportsmen Against Hunger group. TSC chief Michael Coolie said his net will continue to trumpet the work against hunger of the Safari Club, including a similar event at The Cable Show in New Orleans in ’08.
