New Yorkers are unflappable, but even they will stop to watch dogs running down a dock and jumping long and high into a pool after a toy. Hundreds did Tues as Outdoor Channel staged an event 10 blocks from the NAMIC conference to tout its “DockDogs” series (premieres Oct 4, 9pm ET). The eps will show the newly sanctioned sport’s qualifying events and championship (we’re not making this up). In addition to crowds of curious New Yorkers, the dogs (and their humans) attracted mass local and national media coverage. [You can see the action at outdoorchannel.com].
